The UFC has officially said goodbye to three other fighters. Alexei Oleinik, Randy Costa, and Yamato Nishikawa have all been released from their contracts and dropped out of the team. It should also be noted that it has not been confirmed whether all of these moves were outright layoffs or simply contracts were not renewed. This shocking news was first revealed on Twitter. 

Randy Costa

Costa received walking papers after three consecutive stops under the UFC banner. The last time “Zohan” competed was at UFC Vegas 61, where Guido lost to Canetti by submission. Previously, Costa had suffered back-to-back TKO losses to opponents Tony Kelly and Adrian Yanez.

“Zohan” Randy Costa is an American-born athlete who has lost three straight years in the UFC bantamweight division. His back-to-back losses include Adrian Yanez, Tony Kelly, and Guido Canetti. During his career, Costa has scored two TKO victories in the UFC. After finding success in Cage Titans, Costa made his UFC debut in 2019.

Aleksei Oleinik
