He has changed my life completely, and I shall forever be grateful. I will pass on this kindness and change someone else’s life on my journey to be a UFC champion,” Gorimbo wrote.
Gorimbo recounted how he drew inspiration from UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya’s incredible victory over Alex Pereira and how it resonated with him deeply. He felt a connection to Adesanya’s determination and vowed to achieve what others may consider impossible.
The meeting with The Rock was especially poignant for Gorimbo, who hails from a humble background. He reminisced about walking 10 kilometers on weekends to watch WWE at a bar. Even if he couldn’t enter due to age restrictions. Gorimbo’s journey from those days to meeting one of his idols was a surreal and life-changing experience.
“I love this life, and I am grateful for this life. Every time I watch these videos and pictures, I cry, and hopefully, it all sinks in sooner or later. I am very emotional about all this, and crying is the best relief for me,” Gorimbo shared.
