Raul Rosas Jr., 18, was recently named to the 2022 UFC Best Newcomers list. “It was incredible to see El Niño Provlemia become the youngest fighter on the UFC roster. After making his professional debut in November 2021, Rosas Jr. earned his UFC call-up in a short period of time, earning him five placements in the same number of fights. The Mexican said he was 25 years old when he overwhelmed Gutierrez. Mando Gutierrez went into the fight with his 7-1 record in his third round, becoming the first decider of his career and subsequently earning a UFC contract. Rosas Jr. Wilde won his UFC’s attention with his Ultimate Warriors Challenge (UWC) fight in Mexico as he fought his fifth straight fight under his league banner.

“El Niño His Problem” made his debut in Pro MMA at UWC 30, where Eduardo won his first round submission victory over Velázquez. The 18-year-old had to wait until March 2022 for his next fight. Rosas Jr. fought month after month for the next three months, earning two submissions and his TKO victory. Raul Rosas Jr. became the youngest ever to compete in an octagon when he faced Jay Perrin at UFC 282 in December. “El Niño His Problem” lived up to the hype behind him, scoring a first-round submission win over Perrin.
