Conor McGregor is seen bringing a lady into a men’s restroom, where she claims he “violently” assaulted her. McGregor’s conversation with the woman in the corridor was recorded on mobile phone footage, which TMZ revealed on Friday. It was recorded just after midnight on June 10 at the Kaseya Centre in Miami following Game 4 of the NBA Finals, according to TMZ.

The almost 30-second video begins with McGregor going out of the toilet and uttering something to a swarm of people under security monitoring.

He then goes right and appears to speak with the woman before taking her hand and leading her into the washroom. She and another female, who is holding her wrist, follow McGregor down a security-cleared corridor, but when they reach the toilet entrance, McGregor and the claimed victim go inside, while the other lady walks to the right before entering. The toilet door closes, and the video finishes with only McGregor and the claimed victim entering.

The footage, which gives light on what happened outside of the toilet, calls into doubt several aspects of the woman’s account before the claimed sexual assault. Earlier in the evening, videos show her and McGregor partying together at a club within the arena.

What does the rape victim claim happened?

South Florida-based attorney Ariel Mitchell said in a demand letter submitted to McGregor, the NBA, and the Miami Heat that her client was “physically forced” into the restroom by security and that McGregor was already waiting for her inside the bathroom, all of which contradict the evidence.

According to Mitchell’s letter, “security refused to let (the woman) exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.” While it’s unclear why the claimed victim’s companion did not accompany her and McGregor into the restroom, the footage shows what seems to be a security detail barring anyone from entering.

According to TMZ, despite telling local officials about the alleged sexual assault, the lady did not want to file charges, with Mitchell noting in her letters that the woman is simply pursuing settlements with McGregor, the NBA, and the Heat.

Following the publication of the footage on Friday, McGregor’s attorney, Barbara R. Llanes, confirmed her client’s rejection of the rape claim, calling it “no more than a shakedown.”

“After the video was released by TMZ, the claimant’s lawyer now has changed her story,” Llanes said. “Mr. McGregor welcomes the investigation, which he firmly believes will show the claims against him are false. After not responding to the demand for money made by claimant’s counsel, she turned to the media to apply pressure. This is no more than a shakedown.”
