Nicolas Jarry is a Chilean tennis player born on 11 October 1995 and his highest ranking to this date by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is World No. 38 in singles. He achieved this feat on July 2019 and he also rose to a career-high ATP doubles ranking of World No. 40 which he reached on March 2019.

The current Chile No. 1 has won two ATP singles titles so far with one at Bastad 2019 and the other at the Santiago 2023. Jarry began his Grand Slam conquest at the 2018 Australian Open losing to Leonardo Mayer in straight sets. He also represented Chile at the Davis Cup picking up two crucial victories in the singles matches against opponents, Ecuador, and also picked up a win in the doubles matchup alongside Hans Podlipnik resulting in a 3–1 win for Chile.

Jarry has made it to the finals of the ATP tournaments on four occasions picking up the title twice: in Chile and in Sweden. At the Geneva Open in 2019, he lost to Alexander Zverev in the final by 3–6, 6–3, 6–7, and at the Brasil Open in 2018, he lost to Fabio Fognini by 6–1, 1–6, 4–6.

Who is Nicolas Jarry’s girlfriend?

Nicolas Jarry is married to his wife Laura Urriticoechea for like two years now with them tieing the knot on December 23, 2020. Jarry had to be off the tennis courts for over a year after being banned way back in January 2020 and the couple decided to take the opportunity of marrying each other during the lockdown period with both of them claiming to have spent a great time together. They share a baby boy together who was born in 2022 and is named, Juan.

Nicolas Jarry was highly influenced by his grandfather who was also one of the greats of tennis during his time, Jaime Fillol. His grandfather played a pivotal role in shaping his way into professional tennis as his grandfather gave him his first racquet also taking him to the Wimbledon and US Open tournaments when he was a child. His father’s name is Allan Jarry and his mother’s name is Cecilia Fillol. He also has two brothers: Diego Jarry Fillol and Sebastian Jarry.
