She beat Anhelina Kalinina, Bernarda Pera, Nuria Parrizas Diaz, and fifth seed Maria Sakkari in the 2022 Australian Open to get to her second straight quarterfinal at this major. Ashleigh Barty, the eventual winner and world No. 1, defeated her in the quarterfinal encounter.
