Alexander Shevchenko is a Russian tennis player born on 29 November 2000 and his highest ranking to this date by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is World No. 96 in singles. He achieved this feat on 24 April 2023 and he also rose to a career-high ATP doubles ranking of World No. 406 which he reached on 20 February 2023.
He made it to his major ATP debut in the year 2022 at the Generali Open Kitzbühel by the process of as a lucky loser but eventually lost to Dominic Thiem but his first main draw qualification came at the ATP 500 2022 Astana Open. On February 2023, he made it to the ATP 500 in Dubai via a lucky loser yet again thereby reaching the ranking of the World No. 113.
Right after that, in March, he reached the Phoenix Challenger final after defeating Gael Monfils, Marc-Andrea Husler, Matteo Berrettini, and Quentin Halys on the way but eventually lost to Nuno Borges in the final.
