Alex de Minaur is one of the stand-out young players currently on the ATP tour. The 22-year-old represents Australia on the international stage but has Uruguayan and Spanish heritage.
Grand Slam success has thus far eluded De Minaur. However, he’s won 5 titles in men’s singles competition and also won 1 doubles title.
His best Grand Slam showing up until now has been in the 2020 US Open. There, De Minaur made it to the quarterfinals – the first time he’d made the last eight in a Slam.

He almost made it to the quarters in the 2022 Australian Open as well; however, he lost in straight sets to Jannik Sinner in the fourth round.
Naturally, the fact that he’s consistently competing with the best means there is plenty of interest in his personal life. This includes in his girlfriend, fellow professional tennis player Katie Boulter.
Katie Boulter is a professional tennis player hailing from Great Britain. The 25-year-old is currently ranked 155 in the WTA rankings.
While a WTA title has eluded her till this point, she’s been a consistently good feature of the ITF circuit. There she has won a total of nine titles – five in singles and four in doubles.
Boulter and De Minaur started dating in March 2020, although they did not make their relationship public until a year later. This was done via an Instagram post acknowleding their one year together.
Since then the two have regularly cropped up on each other’s social media feeds. Indeed, they’ve even been spotted on the tennis court together.
They celebrated Christmas 2021 together as well, posting a picture of them dressed up for the holidays with a Christmas tree in the background.
Alex de Minaur’s father Anibal is from Uruguay and his mother Esther is from Spain. His parents met in Sydney, when Esther came to work as a waitress in Anibal’s restaurant.
As a result, De Minaur was born in the city of Sydney but has dual Australian and Spanish citizenship. However, despite spending years in Spain, De Minaur himself has always said he felt Australian.

This is why he represents Australia on the tennis circuit.
Alex de Minaur comes from a relatively large immediate family. Aside from his two parents, he grew up with five siblings. Of those five, three are sisters and two are brothers.
His brothers are named Dominic and Daniel whereas his sisters are named Natalie, Cristina, and Sara.
