Wang Qiang is a tennis player from China. She has two WTA Tour singles titles, one WTA 125 singles title, and 13 ITF Circuit singles and one doubles title. Her best major tournament performance came in 2019, when she reached the quarterfinals of the US Open. Wang reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 12 on September 9, 2019, becoming the second-highest ranked Chinese tennis player in history after Li Na. Wang is one of only five Chinese tennis players to have reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament, joining Li Na, Zheng Jie, Peng Shuai, and Zhang Shuai.

Wang was born in Tianjin, China. She began playing tennis at the age of nine. That same year, she was named the Tianjin National Tennis Center’s promotion player. She won the China Junior Tennis Championship two years in a row (2006, 2007). In 2007, she began touring the ITF Women’s Circuit in Japan for the first time.
