Stefanos Tsitsipas has not been in good form recently having lost three of the last five matches he has played. He will look to bounce back in style by picking up a win against his much-depleted opponent and building confidence that he has been lacking. He lost against Djokovic in the Paris Masters Vienna at the semi-finals after winning against Paul, Moutet, and Evans. In the ATP World Tour Finals, he lost to Rubelv and Djokovic again winning only against Medvedev. At the Vienna Open, he got knocked out at the round of 16 stage to Coric after winning the first match against Dennis Novak. And he lost the final of the Stockholm Open to Rune after an impressive performance throughout the entire tournament.
Quentin Halys has been in decent form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic in the Adelaide International 1 a few days ago at the round of 16 stage after beating Thompson in the first round. In the Paris Masters, he lost to Basilashvili in the round of 64 stage after beating Monteiro and Cachín in the first two qualifiers. He beat Alex Molcan and Ben Shelton in the ASB Classic ultimately losing to Jenson Brooksby in the quarter-finals.
