Lauren Davis pulled out a stunning victory in the second round against 28th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova on Thursday. The unseeded American player went down a set but showed great character to make a roaring comeback and take the victory. The score at the end of the match was 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-5). Davis hit four aces in the match and converted two out of four break points.
Iga Swiatek and Lauren Davis are scheduled to face one another in a third round match of the US Open 2022 on Sunday, September 4. The 2022 US Open is all set to begin from August 29 till September 11.
