Ben Shelton has been enjoying himself lately winning championships for fun during the last couple of months. He won the US Charlottesville Challenger and the Knoxville Challenger back to back. He also won the US Challenger Campaign beating the likes of Vukic, Kovacevic, Gunneswaran, Quinn, and Ozolins on the way. But to the start of the new year, he could.t carry his form to the Adelaide International 1 which commenced a few days back and he lost right in the first qualifier to James Duckworth. He beat Sebastian Baez in the first-round matchup with the score ending 7-6, 6-1.
Quentin Halys has been in decent form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic in the Adelaide International 1 a few days ago at the round of 16 stage after beating Thompson in the first round. In the Paris Masters, he lost to Basilashvili in the round of 64 stage after beating Monteiro and Cachín in the first two qualifiers. He beat Alex Molcan in the first-round matchup with the score ending 6-3, 6-4.
