At the Argentina Open and the Chile Open, he got knocked out in the round of 16 stage to Etcheverry and Hanfmann respectively. In the ongoing Madrid Open, he beat Goffin in the first-round matchup by 6-4, 6-4.
Seeded 13th Alexander Zverev hasn’t been in good touch lately after recovering from the injury he picked up at the French Open last year and still is searching for good form. He will be adamant to make a change in fortune and perform well at the Miami Open. He couldn’t make it past the second stage mark in most of his last tournaments: at the Australian Open, he lost to Mmoh, and at the Rotterdam Open, he lost to Griekspoor.
