World tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis are all governed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The International Lawn Tennis Federation was created in 1913 by twelve national tennis associations. ITF’s membership consists of 211 national and six regional associations as of 2016. On behalf of the International Olympic Committee, the ITF conducts Grand Slam events, annual team contests for men (Davis Cup), women (Billie Jean King Cup), and mixed teams (Hopman Cup), as well as tennis and wheelchair tennis events at the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The M25 Montauban or the Open De Tennis De Montauban is a men’s tennis competition that is played on clay. The host nation for the tournament is France and the top seed is French tennis player Kenny De Schepper who has an international raking of 400. Alexander Zverev’s brother Mischa Zverev is a part of the competition and is seeded eighth.
