Adelaide International 1: Twitter reacts as Linda Noskova secures her first major final berth

18-year-old Linda Noskova has been a major surprise since the start of last year when she had a short run at the Roland Garros. In the ongoing Adelaide International 1 tournament, she has moved on from the qualifiers to the semifinals shocking the entire tennis world and beating the likes of Azarenka and Jabeur en route to the final. She has beaten Kalinskaya in the first qualifier, Potapova in the second qualifier, and Kasatkina in the round of 32 matchup. In the round of 16 tie, she beat Liu and also beat local sensation Azarenka in the quarters. In the semis, she introduced herself to the world by beating the number 1 seed Jabeur and proved that she is no more an underdog and that her opponent Sabalenka shouldn’t take her lightly.

Her opponent, Aryna Sabalenka has had a great 2022 and she has maintained that run of form at the start of this year as well. She was a bit lucky to receive a first-round bye, and then she beat Liudmila Samsonova in the round of 16, and she faced Marketa Vondrousova in the quarter-finals. She then beat Irina-Camelia Begu in the semi-final. A lot of the fans will hope for her to win the championship considering her experience and the red-hot form she is in having managed to not lose a single set in the entire tournament.
