The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Nations League finals will be one of the highlights of this month's sports calendar.
The world sports calendar for July will be jam-packed with events which will be both at the business end as well as in the initial stages. The goal is to compete in as many events as possible, which will inspire athletes from all over the world. The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Nations League finals will be one of the highlights of this month. Another important event which will be the highlight of the month is the Wimbledon. Added to that we also have the annual bicycle tournament Tour de France. The Formula 1 and the racing circuit will also be quite busy. Starting from the Austrian Open, to Hungarian Open to British Grand Prix there will be a host of events for the fans.
The most awaited tournament in the sports calendar will be the Volleyball Nations League finals. The final round for both the men’s and women’s will be held in the month of July. For the women, the caravan will shift to Arlington in the United States. While for the men, the final rounds of the tournament will be held in Gdansk in Poland. Throughout the month of June, there have been a plethora of breathtaking matches in the Nations League. The final round of the tournament which will consist of the top 8 teams promises to be the same. To put perspectives in place, the United States is at the top of the table in women’s volleyball. While for the men’s, it’s the Japanese team which is at the top.
The month of July always tunes into a sweet scent for the lover of the sport of tennis. The 2023 season will be no different. July will kickstart with the much-awaited Wimbledon championships. Wimbledon Championships is a planned Grand Slam tennis tournament that is scheduled to take place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom. Novak Djokovic and Elena Rybakina are the reigning champions in the singles tournaments. Interestingly, this will be the first Wimbledon tournament staged during the reign of King Charles III.
The sport calendar of fencing will also see the start of the world championships. The World Fencing Championships is an annual competition in fencing organized by the Federation Internationale d’Escrime. Contestants may participate in foil, epee, or sabre events.
For the cyclists, July is the most important month in the calendar year. This is because in the month of July the oldest cycle race i.e. Tour de France is held. The 2023 Tour de France will be the 110th edition of the Tour de France. It will start in Bilbao, Spain, on 1 July and end with the final stage at Champs-Elysees, Paris, on 23 July. 22 teams are scheduled to take part in the race.
Towards the end of the month, the archery championships will happen. The 2023 World Archery Championships will be held from 31 July to 6 August 2023 in Berlin, Germany. The event will serve as a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
