The 2023 Players Championship, sometimes known as the 2023 Duelbits Players Championship, is a professional ranking snooker competition scheduled to take place at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, England, from February 20 to February 26, 2023. This is also the twelfth ranking event of the season 2022-23. It will be the second Players Series event, the second ranking event of the 2022–23 season, coming after the World Grand Prix and before the Tour Championship. The top 16 players from the one-year ranking list will be participating. Neil Robertson was the reigning champion after defeating Barry Hawkins in the 2022 championship match by 10-5. Having fallen outside of the Top 16 on the one-year ranking list following the 2023 Welsh Open, Robertson was unable to defend his title. As a result, he won’t be competing in the championships.

The top 16 players from the one-year ranking list determine who qualifies for tournaments. Robertson and Ronnie O’Sullivan are two notable exclusions. Mark Williams and Barry Hawkins, who are rated 17th and 18th on the list, will also be eliminated. The lack of superstar status, on the other hand, is likely to boost the unpredictably with a new field of competitors. With Kyren Wilson, Mark Selby, and Judd Trump also in the running, Mark Allen comfortably leads the one-year standings. Following an excellent 2022/23 season, Robert Milkins is flying high in the fourth seed position.
