The match between the New York Giants vs Cincinnati Bengals will take place at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford on Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 PM ET.
On Sunday night, the defending AFC champions will play the New York Giants in their second preseason game in an effort to bounce back. Cincinnati was defeated by the Arizona Cardinals 36–23 in their season opener. The Bengals recently completed a 10-7 campaign in which they made an unlikely run to the Super Bowl. Last week, New York beat the New England Patriots 23-21. They want to recover from a terrible 4-13 season.

The Cincinnati Bengals scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, but a 36-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals was too much for them to overcome. Starting at quarterback, Jake Browning completed 13 of 24 passes for 190 yards. When Drew Pitt entered the game, he completed all six of his attempts at passing, including one touchdown.
While the Bengals’ loss was disheartening, they may at least be pleased with the wide outs’ effort. Trent Taylor and Kendric Pryor each had four catches; Pryor gained 89 yards and a score while Taylor gained 74 yards. With 22 receptions total on 30 targets, the team had a respectable completion success percentage of 73.3%.
This defence, which allowed 310 total yards and 36 points, is the cause for concern. Despite only possessing the ball for 27.47 minutes, Arizona outperformed the opposition and went 5-6 in the red zone. The Cardinals finished 6-11 on third down despite the squad applying some pressure and registering three sacks because the defence was unable to do enough to force a turnover. The Bengals were hurt by 11 penalties, which gave the Cardinals three first downs.
