The Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets NBA Summer League game will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center on July 9. This is going to Thunder’s first game in the Las Vegas leg of the tournament.
After playing two games in the Salt Lake City Leg, Chet Holmgren was rested for OKC’s third and final game against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Gonzaga product is expected to be back in the lineup when his team takes on the Rockets. All eyes will be on the rivalry between Holmgren and Jabari Smith Jr. The latter did not have a great first outing in the Summer League, which is why he will be gunning to put up a big performance against the Thunder. But it is not going to be easy as Holmgren will try and make things very difficult for him.
The Thunder have another exciting talent in Josh Giddey, who has already proven that he can be a matchwinner in the NBA. He will be key to their chances against the Rockets. After losing their first game the Eastern Conference side will be looking to bounce back strongly. Apart from Jabari Smith Jr., the Rockets also have the likes of Ty Ty Washington Jr., Daishen Nix and Josh Christopher. If they all put in a good show, things could certainly get very difficult for the Thunder when they take the court for this game.
Neither team has submitted their injury report ahead of this game. Unless any sudden casualty comes up, both sides will have all their players available for selection.
