The Houston Rockets will face off against the Orlando Magic in the first game of the NBA Summer League’s Las Vegas Leg. It is certainly going to be an exciting matchup as it will feature two of the Top 3 draft picks in the 2022 class.
The Rockets’ roster is headlined by Jabari Smith Jr. Many had their eyes set on the former Auburn player as he was expected to go first in the 2022 Draft. However, the Orlando Magic decided to bring in Paolo Banchero instead of him. Smith, will certainly have this running at the back of his head. He will be looking to prove it to the world that he is the best player in the draft class and the first step to that is putting on a show in the Summer League. The Rockets have other exciting players like TyTy Washington Jr., Josh Christopher and Daishen Nix that could prove to be instrumental in their Summer League campaign.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic will also be looking to start their Las Vegas leg in style. One of the players to look out for in their roster is Paolo Banchero. The Duke player was drafted number one by the Magic. He certainly has a lot of potential as he is good in multiple facets of the game. The likes of Caleb Houston and RJ Hampton are also going to be key for the Magic in their Summer League campaign.
Neither team has submitted their injury report ahead of this game. This means that both teams will have all of their players available for selection
