The Portland Trail Blazers are firmly in “life after C.J. McCollum” mode after ending their lifelong friendship with Damian Lillard, who is regarded as the second-best shooter in NBA history. In the postseason, Portland faced the Golden State dynasty three times, losing just one playoff game each time.
With Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant playing significant supporting roles, they have reorganized their squad to center everything on Lillard. They recently beat the Charlotte Hornets, improving their record to 18-16.
The gift that keeps on giving, the Golden State Warriors, have an 18-18 record and are coming off of a victory over the Hornets as well. Additionally, they have changed the makeup of their club in part as a result of the injuries to all-time great shooter Stephen Curry and All-Star Andrew Wiggins, as well as the addition of a new rotation of supporting players.
