2022 British GT Championship: Schedule, Timings and Where to watch

The 2022 British GT Championship is also known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship. It is the 30th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the SRO Motorsports Group. The 2022 season began on 16 April at Oulton Park and will end on 16 October at Donington Park. The 2022 season started with Oulton Park, Cheshire moving to Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire for the next race. The third race of the year was held at Donington Park, Leicestershire.

The fourth race of the season this coming week is at Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk and will be followed by Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Spa, Belgium. The second last race of the season will be hosted at Brands Hatch, Kent and the championship will move for its finale at Donington Park, Leicestershire.

Schedule

The weekend starts on Saturday 25th June and consists of two days instead of three like many other motorsports. The first day starts with two practice sessions of 1 hour each. It is then followed by four qualifying sessions two for GT3 series and two for GT4 every session and are held for 10 mins each. The final day starts with a warm-up for drivers and is followed by two races that are one hour long.
