Darren Till was once considered a possible challenger for Israel Adesanya‘s middleweight title, but a string of losses for the Brit eliminated that possibility. Before, the two appeared to be on good terms, but a recent exchange may have transformed that engaging. Till was in London to enclose Tom Aspinall, and then after the big main event win, he commemorated with his teammate. Aspinall and Till both climbed the cage, eliciting a feedback from Adesanya.

Adesanya said on his UFC London reaction video. “Sit the f**k down [Till] it’s not your moment. Get the f**k off.”

Will there be a face off between Darren Till and Israel Adesanya

Following back-to-back losses, UFC middleweight contender Darren Till is hoping to make a strong comeback in 2022.

Darren has been training with rising welterweight Khamzat Chimaev in Sweden and Las Vegas in preparation for his return to the UFC. Till, a former welterweight championship contender, has lost back-to-back fights against former champion Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson.

Following his first-round submission win against Alexander Volkov, Aspinall had the whole O2 Arena on their feet. Till stepped onto the cage and rejoiced with him as he cherished his triumph inside the octagon.

It didn’t take long for ‘The Gorilla’ to respond to ‘The Last Stylebender.’ According to Till, Aspinall invited him to come to the cage and celebrate with him, which was not captured on tape.

Israel Adesanya has repeatedly stated his desire to fight Darren Till and has even stated that he aspires to face ‘The Gorilla’ in London.

Till is presently rated eighth in the middleweight category and has battled to maintain his weight of 185 pounds. The Englishman has gone 1-2 in his new weight class after stepping up from welterweight and is coming off back-to-back losses to Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson.

However, there are a few key variables to consider while assessing Till’s troubles at middleweight. The battle versus Whittaker was a razor-thin one, and the judges were likely persuaded by ‘The Reaper’s’ last-ditch takedown in the fifth round.

‘I’ve tried to set it up so many times, but Darren Till hasn’t really stepped up’

Israel Adesanya addressed on Sky Sports about a probable fight with Till in the future:

“I’ve tried to set it up so many times, but Darren Till hasn’t really stepped up. And he’s fumbled the bag a few times. Don’t doubt him just yet… It might be something mental he has to deal with, because I don’t think it’s something physical. He has got the physical attributes and the gifts.”

“He can get all the way up there. We’ll see. As long as I’m around, he’ll never have the belt though. That’s why I want to get it done. The O2 [Arena], we’d blow the roof off if we do that here. We’re in his back yard, but trust me, my people are everywhere. Nigerians are everywhere. And we’ll pack the O2.”
