Former UFC welterweight Mike Perry is set to continue his bare-knuckle boxing journey under the BKFC banner. He recently re-signed for a new multi-fight deal with the promotion. Perry’s move to BKFC came shortly after his final UFC fight in April 2021 and his presence has been a significant boost for the organization.

The announcement of Perry’s re-signing was made by David Feldman the President and Founder of BKFC. He expressed his excitement about having Perry back in the fold. “I am absolutely thrilled to make the announcement today of ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry re-signing with BKFC,” Feldman said. “His presence in our promotion has truly galvanized the company. With this announcement today, we can finalize plans for his highly anticipated return to the squared circle.”

Perry is known by the nickname “Platinum.” He has had a successful run in bare-knuckle boxing remaining undefeated in the promotion with three victories. In his debut at BKFC: KnuckleMania 2, Perry secured a unanimous decision win over Julian Lane. He followed that up with a majority decision victory over Michael Page six months later.

Perry’s most recent appearance at BKFC 41 was a highlight-reel moment as he stopped former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the second round due to injury. The extension of Perry’s contract with BKFC raises the anticipation for his future fights within the promotion. Perry has previously expressed interest in exploring traditional boxing and has named potential opponents, including Tommy Fury, KSI, Jermell Charlo, and Dmitry Bivol.
