On Friday, July 21st, London witnessed some incredible MMA action at Cage Warriors 157. The main event featured a rematch between Mick Stanton and James Webb for the Middleweight title. It was a thrilling bout that saw Stanton successfully defending his title with an impressive first-round TKO victory over Webb.
The fight started with Webb coming out swinging, putting Stanton on the defensive with his aggressive striking. But Stanton didn’t back down and found his rhythm as the round went on. In the last few seconds, he unleashed a barrage of punches that caught Webb off guard and secured the TKO win at 4:21 of Round 1. The crowd erupted in cheers as Stanton retained his Cage Warriors Middleweight championship, showing his true champion spirit.
The card also had a fantastic matchup between two former featherweight champions, Jordan Vucenic and Brice Picaud. Vucenic, also known as “The Epidemic,” showed off his grappling skills, winning the fight in Round 2 with a rear-naked choke (RNC). It was a back-and-forth battle, with both fighters giving their all, but Vucenic came out on top, improving his 2023 record to an impressive 2-0.

Morgan Charriere put on a show against Diego Silva. Charriere, nicknamed “The Last Pirate,” displayed some impressive striking throughout the fight. Though it was a tough fight, Charriere’s flurry of punches in the final minute of Round 3 forced the referee to call the TKO at 4:13 of the round. His fantastic performance left everyone in awe and solidified his position as a rising star in the featherweight division.
