Phase one of the Pro Kabaddi League got underway on October 7, 2022, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. The season nine of the league will be played in three phases. Pune’s Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex and Hyderabad are the venues where the second and third phases will be staged. Delhi defeated Patna Pirates in the season 8 PKL final to win the championship the previous season with a thrilling 37-36 victory.
Patna Pirates find themselves at the bottom of the table after three matches in phase one of PKL Season 9. With two losses and one draw, the three-time champions haven’t managed to obtain a single victory. The Pirates will face Bengal Warriors in the last match on October 15, Saturday. On the other hand, the Warriors look to have gained momentum with two consecutive wins in their last two games after their first-match defeat against Haryana Steelers. The Pirates would have to produce their top game to get the better of the in-form Warriors.
