The right-left handed combination forged an opening stand of 182 runs before Gaikwad was sent packing for 99 runs. He smashed six boundaries and as many sixes in the 57-ball knock. After his dismissal, captain MS Dhoni, promoted himself up the order but could only contribute eight runs to the team tally. The Kiwi opener, meanwhile, smashed eight boundaries and four hits over the top in his unbeaten knock of 55 deliveries.

Umran Malik bowls the fastest delivery of IPL 2022

SRH captain Williamson utilised six bowlers with only India fast bowler T Nataraj among the wickets, returning figures of 2/42. He, however, leaked runs at the economy rate of 10.50 per over while Aiden Markram, Umran Malik and Shashank Singh were also expensive. The Jammu & Kashmir express, however, hit the fastest delivery of the season at 154 kmph. But among the poor show from the SRH bowlers, senior fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar stood out, as he bowled at a disciplined economy rate of 5.50.
