Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) turned into Mumbai Indians’ supporters ahead of their clash against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Saturday. RCB decided to change the background of their official display picture on social media from red to blue in support of Mumbai Indians. It comes after RCB won their last league encounter against league leaders Gujarat Titans (GT) by eight wickets to stay alive in the race to IPL 2022 playoffs at the fourth spot. However, their fate in the lucrative tournament this season will be decided in the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

IPL 2022: How Royal Challengers Bangalore can qualify for playoffs?

Former RCB captain Virat Kohli (73 off 54 deliveries) played the role of a sheet anchor to guide his franchise to a crucial win over GT in the IPL 2022 contest at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. Kohli smashed his highest score of the season which was laced with eight boundaries and two hits over the fence. The win helped the Bangalore franchise stay alive in the IPL 2022 playoffs race with a loss for Delhi Capitals in their next game meaning that they go through to the final four.

IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians find support in RCB captain Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli

RCB captain Faf du Plessis and premier batter Virat Kohli will be among those who will be backing Mumbai Indians to knock Delhi Capitals out of the IPL 2022. Du Plessis is banking on Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma to go big in the match while Kohli spoke about the extended support for the five-time champions. “There are a couple of blue hats floating around our dressing room for the next couple of days. I am banking on Rohit (Sharma) to go big,” Faf said after RCB’s win over Gujarat Titans. “We have two more supporters for Mumbai Indians on the 21st, not just two, I think 25 more supporters,” Kohli said while speaking to Faf.
