IPL 2022 CSK vs SRH: Moeen Ali cameo guides Chennai Super Kings to 154/7

England all-rounder Moeen Ali (48) played an important cameo but some disciplined bowling performance from SRH restricted CSK to 154/7 in the IPL 2022 contest at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on the double-header Saturday. 

Asked to bat, CSK openers Robin Uthappa (15) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (16), got their side off to a decent start.

Moeen Ali fires for CSK vs SRH

Later, incoming batter Ali, played a quick fire knock off 35 deliveries to change the momentum of the match in favour of CSK. He notched up three boundaries and two hits over the fence while missing out a half-century by two runs. 

Ali was involved in a crucial third wicket stand of 62 runs with Ambati Rayudu (27) who scored at run-a-ball with the help of four boundaries. 

All-rounder Shivam Dube (3) and former captain MS Dhoni (3), however, failed to add much to the team total. 

But captain Ravindra Jadeja (23) added some vital runs in the death overs to take his side to a respectable total. His 15-ball stay was laced with two boundaries and one hit over the fence. 

Washington Sundar and T Natarajan shine for SRH

SRH bowlers Washington Sundar (2/21) and T Natarajan (2/30) bowled well to keep the run scoring rate in check for CSK as they picked up wickets at regular interval of time. 

Young South Africa fast bowler Marco Jansen also picked up a wicket along side veteran India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
