Utah Grizzlies will take on the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL USA on November 21. The Idaho Steelheads (9-2-0-1, 19 points) beat the Utah Grizzlies (6-6-0-0, 12 points) with a final score of 4-0 on Friday night in front of 6,3497 fans at Maverik Central. The Idaho and Utah meet on Sunday afternoon at 3:44-44-10 p.m. at the Maverik Center. Ryan Dmowski (10th) made it 1-0 5:33 in the second half with his first goal of the tournament as the Steelheads took the lead in the dressing room in the 40th minute. Justin Misiak (1st) ) will increase the advantage to Idaho to 2-0 at 4:22 from the last frame and 5:59 then Janis Svanenbergs (3rd) will score for the second night in a row, making it 3- 0. Colton Kehler (7th) conceded a late goal with 2:35 remaining in regulation time while Jake Kupsky made 21 saves in his third appearance of the season.
From the top of the left circle, Ryan Dmowski passes Trent Miner’s near shoulder. From the ice in the middle, Zane Franklin made a shot into the back wall where Justin Misiak got past the defender. At the top of the fold, Misiak will hit a backhand over the Miner. Jack Becker was forced to move behind the cage and focus on Janis Svanenbergs a few feet from the fold as he beat Miner on the low glove side. Good point Owen Headrick passed it to Patrick Kudla at the front of the line. Kudla finds Kehler at the furthest point. Kehler fired a shot in the wrist as he passed through Miner’s gauntlet. Utah Grizzlies captain Connor McDonald scored the winning goal with 13 seconds left in extra time as they beat Allen American 3-2 on Wednesday night at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center.
