The 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup is the 13th edition of the Men’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup. It is a biennial men’s under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. This year’s edition is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Malaysia National Hockey Stadium. A total of 16 teams are scheduled to take part in the Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2023. This includes hosts Malaysia who have qualified automatically and 15 other nations who qualified via the continental championships.
Wednesday will see hosts Malaysia take on world no.1 Argentina in the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2023. The Argentine team has been in swashbuckling form which has catapulted them to the pinnacle of the FIH rankings. On the other hand, the Malaysian team is ranked eighth in the FIH World Junior Hockey rankings. Heading into Wednesday’s match, both teams are coming with a win in their opening-day campaign. Argentina won a 1-0 win over Australia in an interesting and exciting match. On the other hand, Malaysia blasted away Chile in a goal fest of 7-1. Naturally, it will be a tough game even for the No. 1 team, especially with pumped-up Malaysian fans rooting for their team at the back.
