Here are the results of the Shriners Children's Open 2022, PGA Tour.
Tom Kim clinched the Shriners Children’s Open 2022 with a 5-under 67 to cap a bogey-free week in Las Vegas. Kim achieved the rare feat of winning twice on the PGA Tour before turning 21. Tiger Woods had last accomplished this feat in 1996. In August, the South Korean golfer won the Wyndham Championship. At the 2019 Wyndham Championship, he also became the first golfer since J.T. Poston to win a PGA Tour competition without making bogey.
Kim started the day at 19 under par and tied for the lead, but he swiftly fell behind when Cantlay made his first stroke with a birdie of his own. The South Korean made his first birdie of the day on the fourth hole, a par-4, and added two more on Nos. 8 and 9, finishing at 3-under 32 and holding a two-stroke advantage. When Cantlay found his stroke early on the inside nine, this comfortable lead vanished quickly.
With birdies on 11 and 12, the pair entered the final third of TPC at Summerlin tied. Kim and Cantlay went back and forth until they reached the 17th hole tied at 24 under. Cantlay exchanged pars on the challenging par 3, but his tee shot on the 72nd hole ultimately decided his fate. The world No. 4 then attempted to play from the brush. After leaving his golf ball at his feet, he made an unplayable and hit his fourth shot into the water. Kim required just a regular par to secure his second victory in his last four starts, which resulted in a quadruple bogey.
