Casemiro has been one of the best holding midfielders in the world due to his consistency at the top level and the level of performances he produces against top teams when it matters the most. The Brazil international was born on 23rd February,1992 in Sau Paulo, Brazil. The defensive midfielder is known for his robust tackles and controlling the tempo of the game as well as his long shots leading to goals. The 29 year old is known to do the dirty work for his team and more often than not, the midfielder gets the job done. Casemiro was born in a rough neighbourhood and his childhood was filled with hardships as his father left the family at an early age. Casemiro has been a vital member for his national team and has played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup for Brazil too. Casemiro is nicknamed "The Tank" by his teammates and is a Christian by religion. He has formed a stellar partnership in midfield with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos and the trio have won numerous awards together.

Casemiro started his career at Sau Paulo at a very young age and was appointed the youth team captain at the age of 11. The 29 year old earned a place in the first team in 2010 and his debut came on 25th July,2005 against Brazilian giants Santos FC. Due to his impressive stint in the Brazilian League, Spanish giants Real Madrid came knocking on the door and the 29 year old signed for the club in 2013 on an initial loan. Casemiro made his debut for Real Madrid that same year in La Liga on 20th April against Real Betis. However, after signing for the Galacticos permanently, Casemiro was loaned out to FC Porto where he showed the world what a talent he was and earned a return to Real Madrid a year later. The 29 year old earned his first Brazil National Team call up that same year when he was just 19 years old. He made his debut for the national team on 5th Spetember, 2011 in a 0-0 draw against arch rivals Argentina.

Sau Paulo: Casemiro has had a successful stint in various leagues and has played for many top clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Porto and Sau Paulo FC.
