De Bruyne is a widely recognized player who currently plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the Belgium national team. He began his career with K.R.C. Genk – a Belgian professional football club based in the city of Genk. However in 2012, he joined the English club Chelsea but then was loaned to Werder Bremen.
