Seeking their first win in the CONCACAF Nations League, Grenada is set to return to the Kirani James Athletic Stadium to take on the Group B leaders, Jamaica. The Spice Boys faced a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of Honduras on matchday two, causing them to drop to the bottom of their group. Meanwhile, the Reggae Boyz managed to recover from an early 2-0 deficit, securing a 2-2 draw against Haiti at home. Grenada has had a month to analyze what went wrong in their previous Nations League match, where they were dominated by Honduras, failing to register a single shot on target and holding only 27% possession.
Terry Connor, the coach, is still without a victory since taking charge of the team. One positive aspect from their challenging 2023 is improved defensive play, as Grenada has only conceded multiple goals in one of their three fixtures under Connor, although they have given up 10 goals in three League A home matches. On matchday two, Jamaica had a rocky start, falling behind 2-0 to Haiti in the opening 15 minutes. However, Jamaica has struggled away from home, without a victory since entering League A in 2022-23. Heimir Hallgrimsson, the Reggae Boyz manager, had to wait almost a year to secure his first victory, which came in his ninth game in charge, a 4-1 win against Trinidad and Tobago.
