There will be games in the World Cup in Qatar in a total of eight stadiums. It is the first time the country will host a large international competition, so all of the stadiums have been newly constructed and will be used on an international scale for the first time. For the first time ever, the knockout round matches will be held at every World Cup venue. Let’s have a look at the Education City Stadium.
The Education City Stadium is located in Al Rayyan in Qatar. It is located within several university campuses at the Qatar Foundation’s Education City. The stadium has a capacity of around 45,000 spectators which will be reduced to 25,000 after the World Cup. Several FIFA Club World Cup, AFC Champions League and FIFA Arab Cup matches have been played here.
Like most of the other venues, the Education City Stadium is also scheduled to host eight matches during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The first of these was the 0-0 stalemate between Denmark and Tunisia in group D. Education City Stadium will host a round of 16 game and a quarter final fixture.
