Khalifa International Stadium

The Khalifa International Stadium is located in the capital of Qatar, Doha. The stadium is a multi-purpose one. It is one of the oldest stadiums in the country having opened way back in 1976. Khalifa International Stadium has hosted the Asian Games too before. It is the official home stadium of the Qatar National Team. A long renovation took place to get the stadium in the best shape for the FIFA World Cup 2022. It has a capacity of just below 50,000.

Fixtures to be held in the Khalifa International Stadium

The Khalifa International Stadium is scheduled to host eight matches during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The first one was the 6-2 thrashing of Iran by England. It is also supposed to host a round of 16 fixture and also the third place play-off.
