Brentford’s victory over Man City in their most recent match was perhaps forgotten as attention shifted to the World Cup following the previous round of games, but it was an impressive result for Thomas Frank’s team, who earned all three points thanks to a goal from Ivan Toney in the 98th minute. The outcome placed the Bees into the tenth spot in the standings with 19 points after their first 15 games of the 2022–23 season, thanks to a record of four victories, seven draws, and four losses. Frank’s new five-year contract with the Bees, which runs until June 2027, was revealed by the team on Saturday. It is an exciting time to be a part of the football team since they appear to be firmly on the correct track.

Before the season was stopped for the World Cup, Tottenham and Leeds played out a seven-goal thriller in the Premier League. At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Leeds had leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2. However, Spurs managed to turn the game around, as Rodrigo Bentancur scored twice in the game’s final 10 minutes to give Antonio Conte’s team a 4-3 triumph. Tottenham now sits in fourth place in the standings, one point behind third-place Newcastle United and three points ahead of fifth-place Manchester United, who still have a game in hand. Despite their struggles this season, Spurs are currently in a solid position in the table. They will now want to win their next three league matches against Brentford, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace in order to advance to the North London Derby against Arsenal on January 15.
