The English Premier League has entered its home stretch, and the race for Europe is in high gear. Every EPL fan’s question is who will qualify for the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League? Let’s do an objective analysis!

Eight Teams Can Qualify for Europe

A maximum of eight teams can qualify for Europe based on domestic performance, either by league position or by winning local cups (FA and Carabao Cup). European champions have their places reserved despite their domestic performance.

Generally, here is how EPL teams qualify for Europe:

  • Top four- Champions League
  • Fifth or sixth – Europa League (or fifth place and FA Cup winners)
  • Seventh – Conference League (or Carabao Cup winners)

Since City or United will win the FA and finish in the top four, sixth-placed will qualify for Europa League. Also, United has already won the Carabao Cup and is highly likely to finish in the top five, meaning the seventh-placed team will play in the Conference League.

West Ham is in the Europa Conference League semis but cannot finish in the European places. This means that up to eight English teams could participate in European competitions next season should West Ham win it.

Arsenal and Man City Assured

As things stand, Arsenal and Manchester City have already booked their spot in next season’s Champions League. However, the remaining two spots are not yet booked! The race for the top four has proven to be tough to call, even to seasoned pundits. Sports fans and betting fans, including those using दाफाबेट बोनस कोड भारत are also finding it challenging to choose who finishes in the top four.

Liverpool Mean Business

Liverpool has won seven straight matches, putting them a point behind Manchester United and Newcastle, even though they have played one more match. Newcastle is third with 66 points, and Manchester United is fourth with the same number of points. However, United has an inferior goal difference of +10 compared to Newcastle’s +32.

Newcastle’s game in hand is at home to high-flying Brighton on Thursday, while United’s is at home to Chelsea on May 5th. Eddie Howe’s men remaining fixtures are Brighton at home, Leicester at home, and Chelsea away.

On the other hand, Eric Ten Hag’s men remaining matches are Bournemouth away, Chelsea and Fulham at home. Liverpool plays Aston Villa at home and Southampton away.

Brighton Is in The Mix!

Brighton are also still in the mix following their notable win over Arsenal at the Emirates. They have two games in hand on Liverpool and one on United and Newcastle.

Brighton’s remaining games include Newcastle, Southampton, and Man City at home and Aston Villa away.

Who Slips in the Race for Top Four?

Football pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville believe that Newcastle have to be in their best form to avoid dropping out of the top four. They have tough fixtures against Brighton and Chelsea. Their closest competitors, United and Liverpool, seem to have more “favorable” fixtures on paper.

What are your predictions? Will Liverpool sneak into the top four? Can Newcastle withstand the pressure? Does United have what it takes to remain in the top four? Finally, will Brighton make history?
