Lance Stroll, is a Canadian-Belgian racing driver competing under the Canadian flag in Formula One World Championship. He was Born on 23 october 1998 in Montreal, Canada to billionaire Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll and Belgian fashion designer Claire-Anne Callens. Stroll also has an older sister named Chloe. He is of Russian Jewish descent from his father’s side and holds both Canadian and Belgian citizenship. Stroll has driven for Aston Martin since 2021, having previously driven for Williams and Racing Point. He began his motorsport career in karting at the age of 10.

Stroll debuted for the Williams team for the 2017 Formula One season, partnering Felipe Massa. He became the first Canadian Formula One driver since the 1997 World Drivers’ Champion Jacques Villeneuve. Reportedly, Stroll’s father Lawrence paid $80 million to Williams prior to his Formula One debut. Stroll crashed in practice for his debut race, the Australian Grand Prix, and received a grid penalty as this necessitated an unscheduled gearbox change. Stroll ended the season twelfth in the Drivers’ Championship, scoring 40 of the team’s 83 points.

Lance Stroll supposedly earns $3m annually. Stroll’s estimated salary at Williams for the 2018 season was $1,800,000. In 2019 the Canadian moved to Racing Point and was supposedly paid $1,200,000 for that season. Stroll raced with the same team in 2020 and was paid $2,400,000 for the season. For the 2021 Formula 1 season Aston Martin reportedly paid stroll an annual salary of $1,915,000. He made a big jump in his salary for the 2022 season where Aston Martin supposedly paid him $10,000,000 annually to drive for the team.
