Valorant’s latest update, known as 7.08, brings some cool changes to the game. The most important one is making things easier for new players. Now, when certain characters use their special smoke powers, the game gives a clear sound and picture before the smoke disappears. This helps new players a lot. Another good thing is that your friends can’t hear you getting ready for action. Plus, the Premier Playoffs Tournament now starts quicker. It used to be 1 hour, but now it’s only 15 minutes. But remember, you need to be ready in that time! These changes make Valorant even more fun to play. Valorant 7.08 Patch Notes: Enhanced Smokes, Premier Updates, and More

Smokes Get a Visual and Audio Overhaul

One of the most significant changes in Valorant 7.08 is the enhancement of smokes. Agents like Astra, Brimstone, and Omen are getting a major upgrade. Now, when their smokes are about to fade, they emit a distinct audio and visual cue 1.5 seconds in advance. This alteration is aimed at aiding newer players in making better decisions during the game. While it has garnered mixed feedback from Valorant pros, it’s a positive step towards creating a more balanced playing field.

Equipping Abilities in Stealth Mode

In this update, Riot has made a subtle yet crucial change. Allies will no longer be able to hear the equipping sound of your Agent’s abilities when in close proximity. This adjustment streamlines the auditory experience and eliminates inconsistencies between the sound of equipping abilities and equipping guns. It also reduces confusion regarding enemy awareness, making the game more intuitive.

Faster Premier Playoffs Queue Time

For those eager to enter the Premier Playoffs Tournament, there’s good news. Riot has drastically reduced the queue time from a staggering 1 hour to just 15 minutes. However, there’s a catch: you must ensure your team queues up and remains in the queue within this 15-minute window. Failure to do so will result in your team missing out on the tournament. This change aims to improve the overall tournament experience and emphasizes the importance of punctuality.

Store Interface Upgrades

Valorant’s in-game store has also received a facelift. The user interface (UI) now boasts several improvements that make navigation and item discovery much smoother. Players can quickly find and equip items, enhancing their overall shopping experience. This user-friendly approach aligns with Riot Games’ commitment to player satisfaction.

Agent Selection Revamp for Future Additions

To prepare for future agents, Riot has made a minor but thoughtful adjustment to the agent selection screen. The rows of agents at the bottom of the screen have been reconfigured, creating additional space for upcoming agent additions. This change ensures a seamless integration of new agents into the game, maintaining a balanced roster.

Bug Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements

In addition to the major updates, patch 7.08 also addresses some bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Notable changes include:

Deadlock no longer opens Bind’s automatic doors from outside the teleporter rooms with Annihilation (X).

Neon’s Fast Lane (C) more reliably extends through Fracture’s A Door when cast from the outside.

A bug where the music would hitch/skip while loading into a map or the Range has been fixed.

Shooting range bots now correctly reset their hitbox position when respawning.

Players will now receive the correct Ranked Rating penalties for disruptive behavior.

Weapons and Audio Adjustments

Finally, killbanner audio, which was playing too quietly, has been addressed. This ensures that players are fully aware of their accomplishments during the game.

Valorant’s 7.08 update not only caters to new players but also fine-tunes the gaming experience for veterans. With these changes, Riot Games continues to demonstrate its commitment to making Valorant an engaging and enjoyable competitive shooter for all. Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy the game with these exciting improvements!
