On April 16 a major update was released for The Sims 4 improving gameplay and fixing many bugs. The Urban Homage and Party Essentials Kits are upcoming expansion packs for The Sims 4 and they will be available on April 18. The update is available before of the original release for all players working on PCs and consoles, includes many changes and improves the overall performance of the game, it also helps ensure that the game plays smoothly.
The language filter in the Gallery has been adjusted as a result of ongoing user input monitoring. By allowing for the open upload of Sims made by Maxis and more accepting handling of hashtags this strikes a balance between community standards and user freedom.
Bug fixes specific to their own gameplay features have been applied to a number of expansions, such as Eco Lifestyle, High School Years Horse Ranch, For Rent, Crystal Creations, Realm of Magic, Werewolves, Grunge Revival and Poolside Splash. Upgrading the overall gaming experience is the goal of every update which includes fixing graphic flaws and water collection concerns.
The most recent update 1.106.148.1030 for PC 1.106.148.1230 for macOS and 1.91 for consoles brings 22 fixes meant to address different problems. While many of the fixes are particular to a given expansion a few deal with core gameplay components. Notably problems with group activities not working properly plants that were producing wrong images and sudden power failures have all been fixed.
