Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024: Schedule, Format, Points and More

The big Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) event of 2024 is here. It is called BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2024. If you are a small team wanting to play you need to join the in-game qualifiers first. These are matches inside the game where you prove your skills. Krafton, who makes BGMI, runs these qualifiers. They start on April 15th and end on April 21st. You must sign up on the Krafton India Esports website to join and If you do well, you could win a big prize of INR 2 Crores.

BGIS 2024 In-Game Qualifiers Overview

Krafton announced that the in-game qualifiers for BGIS 2024 will happen from April 15th to April 21st. Only teams that sign up on the Krafton India Esports website can join. Teams will play 15 matches and their best 10 performances will count. The top 1024 teams will move on to Round 1 of BGIS 2024.

BGIS 2024 Format

BGIS 2024 will happen in different parts like The Grind, BGIS 2024, Wildcard Entry, Semifinals Week 1, Semifinals Week 2 and the Grand Finals.

During The Grind phase, which runs from April 4th to April 28th, 256 teams will be invited and split into 16 groups. Each group will play three matches over two weeks. Then, the best 16 teams from each group will move on to play another three matches over two weeks.

The top 64 teams, based on how well they did over four weeks, will go on to compete in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024.

There will be 1024 teams from the In-Game Qualifiers in Round 1 of BGIS 2024. They will be split into 64 groups. After this round, 448 teams will move on to Round 2.

In Round 2, there will be 512 teams from Round 1 and 32 teams from The Grind and they will be separated into 32 groups and play to qualify for Round 3.

In Round 4, there will be 64 teams with 48 from Round 3 and 16 from The Grind. They will be split into four groups and play six matches each. The best four teams from each group will go to Semi-Finals Week 1 and 48 teams will have a chance for a Wildcard Entry.

64 teams will compete in the BGIS 2024 Wildcard Entry phase which runs from May 30 to June 2. They will include 48 teams from Round 4 and 16 teams from Round 3. They will be divided into four groups and play three matches in two days. The best 16 teams will move on to Semi-Finals Week 1.

Semi-Finals Week 1 will happen from June 4th to June 9th. There will be 32 teams with 16 from Round 4 and another 16 from the Wildcard Entry. They will be split into four groups. Each team will play 12 matches in a round-robin style. The best eight teams will go to the Grand Finals and 24 teams will move on to Semi-Finals Week 2.

24 teams from Week 1 will compete in Semi-Finals Week 2 which takes place from June 13 to June 16. They will be divided into three groups and will play 16 matches each in a round-robin setup. The best eight teams will move forward to the Grand Finals.

The BGIS 2024 Grand Finals will happen from June 28th to June 30th. It is a LAN event where 16 teams will compete. They will play a total of 18 matches during the three days.

BGIS 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To play in BGIS 2024, teams need to have at least four players. Everyone must give the right information when they sign up. Players need to be at least 16 years old when they register to join BGIS 2024.

Player Equipment Regulations

In BGIS 2024, players can only use mobile phones or other allowed handheld devices to compete. They can’t use tablets, controllers, Bluetooth keyboards, or mice unless they get written permission from the tournament officials. Also, using PC emulators or other non-handheld devices is not allowed.

Player Apparel Guidelines

In BGIS 2024, players have to keep their avatars dressed once the match starts even after they leave the starting area in the game. They can’t change clothes just for fun or to make people laugh while they are playing.
