Having a member of the Ten Clans peer down on Tatsuya is an essential ingredient for any Mahouka event. I am quite excited to witness the inevitable confrontation between Shippou and Tatsuya.
I’m delighted we’ll still get to see Mayumi-senpai, even though it’s sad that she graduated! As someone who roots for Mayumi and Tatsuya to be together, I love watching their interactions. It was incredibly slick when Tatsuya caught Mayumi, too!
I really enjoy seeing the Saegusa Twins! A person who prefers to “attack first, questions later” is Kasumi, whereas Izumi is so enamored with Miyuki that she doesn’t care that lilies are blooming in the background! The whole thing was so funny, and Minami’s suggestion that Mayumi marry Tatsuya so that Izumi and Miyuki could be sisters simply made things worse!
It appears that the Student Council will continue to include a Saegusa, even after Mayumi’s departure. But I’d suspected Kasumi would end up in the Disciplinary Committee anyhow. If we’re talking about identical twins, this episode also features the Kuroba Twins on an undercover operation. There was some good fighting going on inside the boat. I may have to rewatch Season 2 to refresh my memory, but it’s happening! I am anticipating Tatsuya’s bluffs this season!
