Season 2, Episode 10 of The Dangers In My Heart features Kyotaro’s arrival to school and his announcement that the new school year has started. He checks the bulletin board to see if Yamada’s class is on the same day as his own. Yamada apologizes for not having time to look up Kyotaro’s name, but she is now in her new classroom.
As soon as Kyotaro shows up, Yamada makes a beeline for her. She shifts her focus to another kid so no one would misunderstand her. Yamada presents Kyotaro with a wallet chain after a series of comical pranks and chats. Upon hearing the entrance of Moeko, Hanzawa, and Kanna, the two duck behind Ms. Moriya’s podium.
The two listen in on Moeko as she discusses the friendship between Kyotaro and Yamada as well as the past relationship of two other classmates with Hanzawa and Kanna. Upon their departure, Yamada inquires of Kyotaro whether they will be going out, to which Kyotaro responds in the negative. The two are in an awkward situation when Moeko finds them by chance.
We see a number of kids having physicals after Kyotaro has caught up to Adachi and the others. Then Yamada sees Kyotaro close by and sneaks a peek at his findings. Kyotaro assures Kanna that Yamada and him are only friends, but Kanna thinks the two of them are quite close. We move to the library once the drama involving Yamada, Hanzawa, and Kanna has subsided.
Kyotaro agrees to let Yamada measure him at the library, and Yamada then asks whether they can do it. They get into an intimate scenario after that. Hanzawa stops Kyotaro in his tracks, drops her book, and storms off as he attempts to confess to Yamada. With the intention of giving it to Hanzawa, Yamada takes Hanzawa’s book.
