Previously in Episode 9

As shown in Episode 9 of Solo Leveling, Sung and company engage goblins in a dungeon conflict. The party then finds themselves in a location with three branches, which tempts them to divide apart. While on their way, we see Kim and his ally fighting goblins. Kim wishes he could make amends with Sung for how he behaved at the double dungeon event.

The scene then changes to Kang watching as his inmates engage the goblins in battle. Concerning the prisoner’s possible ties to a murder, Kang interrogates them. A memory of Kang and his customer from the past appears to us. In exchange for killing the inmates, Kang’s client offers him $3 billion. Upon discovering Kang performing the act, Kim and his ally let out a piercing scream.

All the way to Sung and his companions in the dungeon, their shouts reverberated. When Sung and his companions get there, they see the mangled bodies of everyone. When Sung sees Kim, he begs Joohee to help him recover. Kim urges Sung to leave him and expresses regret for not being able to offer a more effective apology. Then Kang tries to murder Joohee, but Sung stops him.

In the midst of their battle, Kang manages to overpower Song, prompting Sung to intervene. In the midst of their fight, Kang recognizes Sung as the same E-Rank hunter from earlier chapters. He also wonders how Sung got to be as strong as he is now. The two engage in a series of tremendous exchanges before Sung ultimately defeats Kang.

Unfortunately, Kang dies while offering Sung some insightful advice. “Leave the dungeon immediately,” Sung orders Joohee and Song. On top of that, he intends to face the dungeon boss solo. Afterwards, Woo and his friend show up at the dungeon site and question Sung and the others over what transpired. At the chapter’s end, Joohee presents Sung with an essence stone after Sung gives him an update on Kang’s customer. Source from ReviewGeek.
