The fans of SPY×FAMILY franchise have something exciting to look forward to this year, as the stage presentation at the AnimeJapan 2023 event disclosed the premiere date of its second season. The anime will be broadcasted in October on TV Tokyo and other channels, and fans can’t wait to see what the creators have in store for them this time. The event also unveiled the visual for the upcoming theatrical film titled Gekijōban SPY×FAMILY Code: White, which left fans in awe. The visual showcases the three main characters, Twilight, Yor, and Anya, with an intense and thrilling backdrop. Spy x Family anime returns with season 2

The much-anticipated second season of the SPY×FAMILY anime is not only exciting fans with its premiere date but also with the creative team behind it. Kazuhiro Furuhashi, who helmed the first season, is back to direct the second season alongside WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks. The assistant director, Takahiro Harada, is also returning to the project. However, there’s a new addition to the team in the form of Ichiro Okouchi, the series script supervisor, who takes over from Furuhashi. 

With the assistance of script supervisors Daishiro Tanimura and Ayumu Hisao, the new season is sure to captivate audiences. Character designer Kazuaki Shimada is also back, with music producer [K]NoW_NAME and sound director Shōji Hata rounding out the talented team.

Fans of SPY×FAMILY are in for a treat with the upcoming theatrical film, Gekijōban SPY×FAMILY Code: White. The film promises to be a thrilling experience, as it features an original story that is sure to captivate fans. The original manga creator, Tatsuya Endō, is credited with the original work and original character designs for the film and is also supervising the production to ensure that the film stays true to the manga’s essence. The film is being animated by WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, while Takashi Katagiri takes the director’s chair, and Ichiro Okouchi handles the script. 

Kazuaki Shimada and Kana Ishida are the characters and sub-character designers, respectively, with Kyoji Asano serving as the chief animation director. The film’s visual, drawn by Kyoji Asano, is also a sight to behold. The music producer, [K]NoW_NAME, and sound director, Shōji Hata, are also returning to provide their signature touch to the film’s audio production.

Fans of the hit anime series, SPY×FAMILY, were thrilled when the first half of the show premiered in April 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the first half of the series with an English dub, which only served to further boost its popularity among fans. The anime’s second half premiered on October 1st in Japan, and Crunchyroll has continued to stream the series as it airs. The show’s impressive direction was thanks to Kazuhiro Furuhashi, who has an extensive resume of notable anime series. The characters were designed by Kazuaki Shimada, who brought his unique style to the project, while [K]NoW_NAME delivered another impressive music score, as they are known for.

The plot is described in the English translation of Tatsuya End’s original manga by Viz Media as follows:

Twilight is a master spy, and his skills are unmatched when it comes to going undercover on perilous missions for the greater good. But when he’s tasked with a seemingly impossible assignment – to get married and have a child – Twilight realizes that this may be his toughest mission yet. Being someone who prefers to work alone, Twilight must now find a wife and a child to infiltrate an elite private school. 

However, what he doesn’t know is that the woman he’s chosen to be his wife is not only an assassin but also a skilled one at that. To make matters worse, the child he’s adopted has an extraordinary gift – telepathy. As Twilight navigates this new family dynamic, he soon discovers that his undercover mission has become even more complicated than he could have ever imagined.

Fans of the popular manga series can enjoy the English version of the series on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service, as the company has been simulpublishing it. Viz Media also added the series to its app in September 2019, and it has since become a part of its Shonen Jump subscription. Additionally, the manga is available in print form. Exciting news for fans of the series came in the form of a stage musical adaptation set to premiere from March to May 2023.
