With anticipation, Sunraku climbs the cliffs in preparation to battle the Crystal Scorpions. After hearing about a new region full of creatures, he just cannot resist exploring it. Gleaming crystals fill the air, making for a magnificent environment that is very different from the one on the ground.
Emul feels terrible about her mistake and wishes she hadn’t abandoned Sunraku. He respawns beside her out of nowhere and starts griping about the Crystal Scorpions. Even though the NPC gets furious with him, a carrot makes her forget her problems in an instant.
Sunraku promises he won’t leave without bringing something back from his next visit to the area. He takes a more covert route and eventually finds a shiny rock containing several useful elements. Although he obtains his pickaxe, he is quite noisy whenever he uses it. The second time the scorpions encircle him happens in the blink of an eye. Sadness washes over him as he wakes up next to Emul once more; yet, he surprises her by carrying a small fragment of crystal.
He is content and ready to sleep now that he returned with an item. However, his realization dawns on him that the Crystal Scorpions harmed themselves in a previous collision. He finally gives in and tells the rabbit he needs to do an experiment.
