Rainbow Six Siege Operation Solar Raid will be the final update of Year Seven. It has introduced a lot of upgrades to end the year on a thrilling note. Players can expect the new Colombian defender Solis to make a cameo and take on enemies on the new Nighthaven Labs map.

Several players are excited to dive into the new map and a fresh season, but when does this new map come to the game?

Nighthaven Labs map available when developers push Operation Solar Raid on December 6. Players don’t have to worry about getting to play the new map since it won’t be banned for the whole duration of the season.

Nighthaven Labs is an extension of Nighthaven’s headquarters that pushes players to change the way they approach every round. Teams are required to avoid getting comfortable as the map offers many ways for opponents to flank positions.

Players will also be able to take advantage of “unusual opportunities” through out the map, as per Ubisoft. This will provide players with a perfect setting to come up with innovative strategies.

The season has introduced a lot of upgrades to the game’s ranked system with the Ranked 2.0 update. Each rank in the game now has five divisions, which requires 100 points for players to reach the next rank. MMR is now renamed as Skill, which determines who players will play in every match.

There is no need to worry about queuing up with friends in their same rank as the update has enabled all players to play together. A fresh algorithm will make sure the teams are balanced and players can take advantage of the new crossplay feature to enjoy the game with friends on any platform.

Should you buy Rainbow Six Siege offline?

Most Rainbow Six Siege players believe the offline mode of the game lacks in several aspects. Multiplayer is clearly the biggest USP of the game. But practicing before jumping straight into action is not a bad thing. So both modes are good for practicing, but not many would like to buy the offline version of the game.

Besides, even the developers aren’t too impressed with these two modes. Creative Director Leroy Athanassoff said that the team has plans to get rid of Training Grounds as it has tons of flaws and “doesn’t really fit the direction we are taking with Siege.”
