One of the best features that the original Overwatch game introduced was the inclusion of the endorsement system. When players get frustrated in a match, they might come across as toxic. But the use of endorsements counters it very well. Thankfully, the endorsements are available in Overwatch 2 as well. But not all players know the use of endorsements in the game.

Rather than focusing their energy on people who have ruined their game, players can reward and show props to the people who tried making their game better. Be it by playing according to the situation or by playing as a team, or by giving respect to the opponents. Simply put, reward players who are good team players and make the gameplay experience better.

What are endorsements in Overwatch 2?

The endorsement system is pretty simple to understand. Once a match in Overwatch 2 is completed, players get the option to give out endorsements. The menu prompts automatically after the Play of the Game system, but players can also hit the “N” button to see the menu early.

Players will get two endorsements after every match, and they can only one endorsement to any player. Earlier, players were given three endorsements but they were reduced to two after the move to five-vs-five.

Besides, players won’t be able to give endorsements to friends they are queueing with so that groups of pals cannot boost each other’s social score time and time again. Players will only be able to endorse the same player once every 12 hours.

Moreover, the old choice of endorsements is no longer available in Overwatch 2. Players cannot designate their endorsement for being a good leader, a good team player, or just be respectful in general. Now, the game only has one endorsement for all.

Players will earn experience points for endorsing other players, but players will be rewarded for receiving them as well. With every endorsement players get, they will level up in the game. There are total 5 levels, the colored rings show the endorsements received. Players will able to see another player’s endorsement level when they go to endorse them.
